Wound Care - The staff is well trained in the comprehensive course of therapy to assist in healing problem wounds. Some of the wounds we treat are associated with complications from diabetes, vascular disorders, pressure sores and trauma. |
Diabetic - Diabetes is a whole-body condition affecting a variety of systems related to wounds: skin, nerves, circulation, bones, and the immune system. One or all of these systems may need treatment. Working with podiatrists, neurologists, and endocrinologists, the staff at North Shore Vascular applies a comprehensive approach to heal problem diabetic wounds.
Vascular - Difficulties with blood flow to and from a wound are diagnosed in the Vascular Lab and treated with modern minimally invasive catheters and stents.
Pressure - Working with physical therapists, nurses, and prosthetists, the staff at NSV will relieve the causes of these difficult wounds.
Trauma - From the initial insult to the final phase of complete healing, NSV employs surgery, state-of-the-art mechanical and chemical dressings, and skin grafts to effect total wound care.
